Our binder shelving units are built for storing notebook binders, yet they are versatile enough to accommodate various boxes, books, supplies, files, and other items. The adjustable steel binder shelves allow you to adjust the openings according to your preferences. Single-sided units are 12' deep and designed to be placed against the wall. Double-sided units are 24" deep and designed to free-stand in the middle of the floor.

Specification Table
  • Vertical side panels (uprights) are closed metal panels made of heavy-duty 18-gauge steel.
  • Shelves are adjustable vertically on 1.5” increments. Additional shelves are available on request.
  • Shelves are supported with two heavy-duty shelf supports. Shelf reinforcements are provided depending on the size of the shelf.
  • Single-sided Unit have backstops on each storage level to connect vertical support dividers. Double-sided Unit have a centerstop in the middle of the shelf to connect support dividers and keep materials from pushing through to the other side.
  • Each shelf will hold at least 250 lbs with a total shelving unit weight capacity of 1,500 lbs. Weight capacities are based on evenly distributed, non-impact loads.
  • Single-sided Unit have one 2.75” high bottom kickplate (base). Double-sided Unit have two 2.75” high bottom kickplates (bases). These prevent objects from rolling under the unit.

Starter and Adder Units
  • The first unit of a shelving row needs to be a "starter unit" (adder units connect to starter units). An adder unit will not stand alone and must connect to a starter unit.
  • Starter units come with two closed side panels (uprights), and adder units come with open-type uprights.
  • Shelves connect to one side of the starter unit's uprights (shelves connect to both sides of the adder unit's uprights).
  • If you want complete flexibility to move units around in the future, you can purchase all starter units.
  • Single-sided units are designed to stand against a wall.
  • Double-sided units are designed to stand in the middle of a room.
