Your responsibilities for receiving shipments

  • Unload your merchandise from the freight carrier's truck.
  • Deliver/Move your merchandise from the carrier's truck to inside your facility (also known as "Inside Delivery").
  • Inspect your shipment for issues and damages and writing "Product Damaged" or "Product Shortage" on the sheet the delivery agent asks you to sign (see below for more information).
  • If unloading and moving your merchandise or other freight services are needed, please send us an email or call us toll-free at 1-855-786-7667 for a price quote. You will be responsible for all charges for unquoted freight services (including re-delivery charges should you choose to refuse delivery).

Freight Damage Policy

It is critical that you inspect your shipment for visible damage before signing for your delivery.

Damages that occur in transit are unfortunate and we do sincerely apologize. These policies are in place to speed up sending replacements or repairing as quickly as possible, as well as to protect everyone involved. We advise all dealers and end users to carefully read our policies which contain information on what to do if your shipment is damaged and outlines our procedures for resolving the situation. Our policies are directly impacted by freight companies as we must follow their rules and regulations when submitting a freight damage claim. Download our freight damage policy.

StoreMoreStore will NOT be responsible for orders damaged in transit (including visible damage, concealed damage, and/or shortage of material) unless the following steps are taken by the receiver:

  1. Inspect and alert driver of any visible damages before signing the delivery receipt.
  2. Do not refuse or discard product or packing materials if any damages are evident.
  3. Document all visible damages on the delivery receipt.
  4. Take multiple photos of the damaged product and/or packaging.
  5. Notify your StoreMoreStore Project Manager immediately and provide the delivery receipt and photos.

StoreMoreStore must be notified of any visible or concealed damages and/or product shortages within 3 days of shipment delivery. If this time frame is not met, you forfeit all rights to a freight claim and are fully responsible for any replacement costs.

IF YOU WISH TO RETURN MATERIAL AFTER RECEIVING:

If there is no damage, but you wish to return your order, please note that all returns due to customer error are subject to a 50% rehandling, restocking charge. All returns must be requested within 15 days of the delivery. Merchandise is not returnable without a valid return authorization number (RMA Number) and written approval from StoreMoreStore. All returns must be in resalable condition. We do not accept returns on worn or damaged products. All transportation charges must be prepaid. We do not refund shipping charges. Collect or COD shipments will not be accepted. No returns on modified or non-standard products will be accepted. "Special Ordered Items" and "Made To Order" items are non-returnable. Our agreement to accept a return is conditional upon our inspection of the returned product. If you received an item in error, we'll gladly pay for return shipping cost and waive the restocking fee.

General Shipping Information

We will ship your order using the fastest, safest, and most reliable shipping method possible. We have established strong relationships with some of the best delivery companies nationwide. Every product on our site has been carefully selected to ship by a particular shipping method in order to provide you with an optimal delivery experience. We recommend you track your package online or on the phone with the freight carrier. Most freight companies can provide an estimated delivery date when provided with the tracking number. Please note we cannot ship to P.O. Boxes or Military APOs.

Truck freight shipments usually take between 3 and 10 days from when your order ships from our facility. Trucking companies make standard deliveries between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Small Parcel Shipments

Whenever possible we will ship smaller, lighter items via UPS, FedEx, DHL, or USPS. These companies provide the fastest and most reliable method of shipping for smaller shipments. Depending on your location, your item will arrive in one to six business days (1 to 10 business days for USPS) from the ship date.

It is your responsibility to unload the products from the freight truck and move them inside your facility or pay additional charges for the freight carrier to unload and move them inside your facility.

We use truck freight carriers (also called LTL freight) for products too large products typically weighing over 75 pounds. Unlike UPS and FedEx parcel shipments, freight carriers are only required to bring the products to the rear of the truck.

This means it is your responsibility to unload the products from the truck and move them inside your facility or pay additional charges for the freight carrier to unload and move them inside your facility.

Charges for inside delivery by the freight carrier at the time of delivery will be added to your credit card transaction. In addition, charges from the freight carrier for refusing shipments and re-deliveries because you are not able to receive your shipment will be added to your credit card as well. Shipping is only available on products in the continental 48 contiguous states.

Other billable freight services include:

  • Trucks with lift gates for office facilities and residential homes without a receiving dock
  • Scheduled deliveries (usually within a 2-4 hour time window)
  • Inside delivery
  • Unpacking and debris removal

Definition of terms:

Inside Delivery

The unloading and delivery of merchandise from a freight carrier's truck to the inside of a facility. Inside Delivery charges vary on how much merchandise needs to be moved, how far the merchandise needs to be moved, and stairs (or other conditions) encountered with moving the freight either outside or inside the facility.

Liftgate

A liftgate is a platform on the rear of the freight truck used to mechanically lower and raise large heavy items from the truck for loading and unloading of cargo.

Loading Dock

A loading dock is an area of a building where trucks are loaded and unloaded. They are commonly found in the shipping and receiving areas of commercial, industrial, and warehouse buildings. Loading docks may be outside the building or fully enclosed. They are part of a facility's service or utility infrastructure, typically providing direct access to staging areas, storage rooms, and freight elevators.

LTL Freight

Less than truckload (LTL) shipping is a transportation industry term to describe relatively small freight shipments that are too heavy or large for parcel carriers and too small to consume a full semi-truckload. LTL shipments are grouped and loaded into semi-trailers with other freight orders to make transportation economical. Typically, semi-trailers are between 26 and 53 feet long.
